iciHaiti – Orlando : Improvement and strengthening of service to the Haitian community
Herwil Gaspard, the Consul General of Haiti in Orlando said recently in an interview broadcast on social networks that one of his top priorities was “improving and strengthening service to the community at the Consulate level.”
According to him, this should be done initially around a collective and participatory leadership, in order to orient the Consulate towards the Haitian community living in Orlando and its surroundings and also to carry out an inventory of the number of compatriots living in North Florida so that the Consulate has a socio-professional mapping of members of our diaspora.
Secondly, all compatriots who exercise a liberal profession, an entrepreneurial or artistic activity could use the space and services of the consulate free of charge to ensure the promotion and success of their activities.
“It is the Consulate that should listen to the community and not the other way around,” says Consul Herwil Gaspard who invites members of the Haitian community living in Orlando to come to the Consulate from Orlando and that he will always be available to receive them.
