iciHaiti – Justice : «Violence cannot be a form of expression»
Me Rockefeller Vincent, the Minister of Justice and Public Security deplores the acts of violence in recent days in the capital. The Minister notes that “acts of banditry are taken advantage of by deviants who try to terrorize the population and who try to create an amalgamation in the demands of certain police officers” and calls on them to stand out from these anti-social and anti-democratic behaviors which undermine the stability of the country, as much as they undermine efforts for progress, both individual and collective.
Minister Vincent is convinced that “violence cannot be a form of expression” it must be eradicated and their perpetrators must be severely punished and chastised and eradicated by force of law.”
He calls for calm and citizen vigilance, claiming to have instructed the National Police of Haiti (PNH) and the relevant prosecution to work diligently to punish all troublemakers and perpetrators of these criminal acts.
