iciHaiti – Insecurity : Minister Vincent asks to use force and muscular methods
In a note, Rockefeller Vincent the Minister of Justice and Public Security notes a deterioration of the security situation in the country, especially in the metropolitan area. The Minister “deplores the significant damage that the acts of banditry continue to cause in Haitian families”.
Faced with this situation, Minister Vincent affirms having instructed “the police authorities, responsible for the security of life and property and holders of legitimate violence, to redouble their efforts in order to slow down with force and muscular methods that are required, these criminals constituted for the most part in armed bands. He considers it unacceptable that the population feels left to itself and to the whims of notorious criminals.
He underlines that “while the Government is increasing its efforts to strengthen the intervention and operational capacities of the Haitian National Police (PNH), it expects an urgent and vigorous response capable of bringing back Peace and Security.
