iciHaiti – Insecurity : A hundred lampposts already installed in Croix-des-Bouquets
As part of the operation “Eliminate fè nwa, pou konbat enskirite”, the Communal Commission of Croix-des-Bouquets chaired by Jean Wesnel Edrouine Pervil, has already installed around a hundred lampposts, in order to combat the phenomenon of insecurity, in several localities of the Commune.
The areas already affected are: the city center of Croix-des-Bouquets, Marassa, Kota, Santo, Bon Repos, Lilavois, Beudet, Rosembert, among others.
An order for 40 additional streetlights has been placed and have already arrived. This will allow Town Hall technicians to continue installing streetlights in the towns of Santo 17, 16, 19, 20, 22 and Bon Repos among others.
In terms of public squares, the “Gwo Wòch” square in Bon Repos has already benefited from these installations. The technicians will install lampposts in the Beauvais public square in downtown Croix-des-Bouquets.
While waiting for sustainable solutions to be found upstream to the energy problem, the Communal Commission is installing streetlights in places to provide light at night and to fight against insecurity which is favored in particular by darkness…
