iciHaiti – Hinche : Monitoring of the work of the drinking water supply system
As part of the execution of the rehabilitation and extension works of the drinking water supply system (SAEP) of the city of Hinche which aims to improve the public service in drinking water in quantity and quality, the Ing. Théophil Ostinvil the Director of the Regional Office for Drinking Water and Sanitation (OREPA – Center) accompanied by its Technical Director Pierre Paul Glémeau and ing. Jean Denis Lordéus Director of the Technical Exploitation Center (CTE) of Hinche, carried out a work monitoring visit in order to assess the state of progress.
The Spanish company of consulting, engineering and execution of projects with international vocation “Incatema Consulting & Engineering” which is in charge of the execution of this work, has already proceeded to the laying of more 1,800 linear meters of pipe of 63 mm in diameter. in the areas of Cité Nolas, Village Quisqueya and Cité Silence. In addition, 117 private connections are already installed among the 4,500 that the company will have to make.
Three weeks after the start of the work, everything suggests that the 10-month completion deadline will be met, knowing that 98% of the hydraulic parts and accessories needed for the work are already stored in the Pandiassou depot.
Recall that this work is funded by the Spanish Government through the program “of reform and investment in the drinking water and sanitation sector (EPA) in Haiti” through the Cooperation Fund for Water (FCAS) signed with the Spanish Agency for International Development Cooperation (AECID) and managed by the Agency.
