The Haitian Center for Leadership and Excellence (CLE) as part of its “Pote Kole–19” program, informs that direct support will be granted to 31 Haitian leaders and local organizations in its network, in the form of a grant and technical support to fight against the spread of Covid-19 in their communities.

31 initiatives from leaders and organizations who have mobilized to respond in an innovative way to this health crisis out of about a hundred received from 8 departments (West, North, North-East, South, South-East, Artibonite, Nippes and Center ) were selected by CLE. A total of 8 million Gourdes was mobilized with the generosity of its partners to help these committed leaders to develop their initiatives within their communities.

With a view to building their capacities, CLE offers the 31 winners a three-week distance learning program on leadership, communication, planning and project management. In addition, technical assistance and a tailored mentoring program will be offered to support their work. These leaders and community organizations intend to use their local influence and leadership capacity to encourage the adoption of prevention practices related to Covid-19.
