USA and Taiwan alongside Haiti
The United States and Taiwan (Republic of China) remain steadfast partners in the development of a secure, prosperous and democratic country. US Ambassador Michele Sison and Taiwanese Ambassador (Republic of China) Wen-jiann Ku met on Friday morning to discuss strengthening their cooperation to meet the needs of the Haitian people.

World Tourism Day
Friday, as a prelude to World Tourism Day (September 27), the North Regional Directorate of the Ministry of Tourism organized a conference on the theme “tourism and rural development”. In the morning, Eddy Lubin from the National Heritage Protection Institute (ISPAN), David Toussaint North Regional Director of the Ministry of Culture and Fontescony Joseph, Environment Director spoke respectively on the sub-themes “Tourism and heritage”; “Tourism, technology” and “Ecotourism and rural development”. Note that the Covid-19 caused losses in the global tourism sector estimated at more than 400 billion for the first half of 2020.
