Barahona accident at least 12 Haitian victims
Sunday, August 30, a traffic accident in Cabral-Polo (Province of Barahona) left 5 dead and at least 7 others were seriously injured when the driver of a truck carrying nearly thirty Haitians and goods lost control of his vehicle and overturned. The injured were rushed to Jaime Mota Hospital. The identities of the deceased have not been disclosed to the media so far.
Football: Wilde-Donald Guerrier withdraws
The former player of America des Cayes, Wilde-Donald Guerrier has decided to put an end to his adventure in the Haitian national team of the Grenadiers. In a message posted to his Instagram account on Friday August 28, he announced that after careful consideration he has decided to retire from international football.
DR : Haitians evicted from a park in Santiago
Abel Martinez, the mayor of Santiago (Dominican Republic) during a supervisory tour forced several Haitians out of a public park who were playing gambling games. Recalling that the parks were reserved for families and children and that gambling was prohibited.

France : Tour of the Jasmin Joseph exhibition
Jasmin Joseph’s exhibition, “Le Conte du Hibou”, continues its tour in France. After Pontarlier, it will open in a few days at the Musée du Nouveau Monde (10 rue Fleuriau 17000 La Rochelle – 05 46 41 46 50). Conceived by the Center d’Art in 2016, we are proud to present the work of this great Haitian artist in a third French museum, in partnership with the Foundation for International Cultural Action in the Mountains (FACIM) and the Musée d’Aix les Bains.
