The question of the Referendum
According to the decree on the constitutional referendum published in “Le Moniteur” of January 5, 2021, the question that will be entered on the ballot paper for the referendum scheduled for June 27, 2021 is “Approuvez-vous le projet de Constitution ? / Eske w dakò ak pwojè Konstitisyonan sa a ?” Citizens can either tick a green box with the words “yes / wi” or a white box with the words “No”.
All Haitians must be vaccinated
Everyone should have early access to a vaccine. The Haitian Red Cross will fully support the national vaccination campaign against Covid-19, because no one will be safe until everyone is vaccinated.
Risk of fuel shortage
Due to armed conflicts since June 1 between the gangs, national road number 2 has now been blocked for 6 days, which prevents the Thor oil terminal from supplying gasoline stations in the metropolitan area and province. Armed clashes in Cité Soleil prevent the Varreux terminal from supplying gas stations as well. 5 opposition parties signed an agreement
Friday, 5 political formations of the plural opposition, Dirpod, En avant, Entente, FND, “MTVAyiti” and “Operasyon Tet Ansanm” signed an agreement which aims at the installation of a “National Entente Government” excluding any idea of cohabitation and including the departure of President Jovenel Moïse to the National Palace.
Covid : Biodiversity exhibition postponed
On the occasion of the International Days of the Environment (June 5) and of the Oceans (June 8,) the European Union, through the “Dwa Moun” program, has joined forces with an exhibition on Biodiversity designed by the Société Audubon Haiti and Haiti National Trust, which was to be installed at UniQ. Due to the state of health emergency, the exhibition is postponed to an undisclosed later date.
