Spoilers on the run


The Land Insecurity Intervention Brigade (BRICIF) intervened in Caradeux when unidentified individuals attempted to illegally take possession of land in the area. The police, accompanied by a justice of the peace from the jurisdiction, seized several vehicles including 2 tractors. The individuals fled when the police arrived. An investigation is opened in order to identify them and prosecute them for land crime.

Case of Covid at Quisqueya University


In a briefing note published on Thursday, May 20, 2021, the rectorate of Quisqueya University (UniQ) informs that several cases of Covid-19 have been detected for several days on the university campus. The rectorate and the Faculty of Health Sciences of UniQ are calling for the return to the application of barrier gestures.

No vaccine for at least 1 month…

Woman in Politics, Haiti 185th out of 190 countries


In 2019, Haiti ranked 185th out of 190 countries in terms of female parliamentary representation, with only 4 women parliamentarians out of 147 in the last legislature. This is not enough, and this is why the European Union is launching with its partners a communication campaign to promote women’s leadership and their participation in the political and decision-making spheres of the State.

BRH jobs, compulsory competition


Returning to the hiring policy for a long time in force, a competition is now the compulsory procedure for any professional wishing to make a career at the Central Bank, in a concern of transparency, efficiency and ‘equity. More than 200 candidates are preparing to take the entrance examination at the BRH. Interested persons must complete the recruitment form on the BRH website. Candidates who meet the required profiles will be contacted for written and oral tests according to the procedures in force at the BRH. At the end of these tests, the best candidates will be selected.
