Phantom 509 : Abelson Gros Nègre at the National Penitentiary

Following the arrest on Saturday of the dismissed former police officer and former spokesperson for the PNH union, Abelson Gros Nègre who was the subject of a wanted notice https://www.icihaiti.com/en/news-33345-icihaiti-justice-arrest-of-two-members-of-fantome-509.html , Me Bed Ford Claude, the Government Commissioner of Port-au-Prince, ordered his imprisonment at the National Penitentiary. Abelson Gros Nègre is accused, among other things : of assassination, attempted assassination, arson and destruction of public and private property.

Constitution : Words of Moïse and Lambert

As part of the 34th anniversary of the 1987 Constitution (Monday March 29), President Jovenel Moïse and Senator Joseph Lambert, President of the Senate declared :

“The 1987 Constitution established many gains, but has had its day. We must have the courage to adopt another which, through futuristic arrangements, will lead Haiti to a more balanced political regime that is less likely to cause instability,” Jovenel Moïse, President of Haiti

“Our constitution, during its 34 years, has kept our democracy. This text ratified by the Haitian people marked the break with the old regime. It carries within itself the modalities of its transformation. Any revision of this social contract requires broad agreement,” Joseph Lambert President of the Senate
