“A new extraordinary Council of Ministers was held Tuesday, at the National Palace, where a state of security emergency was declared in all areas identified by the CSPN including Village de Dieu… We are determined to pacify the country,” informed President Jovenel Moïse.

Dismantling of a gang network

Jean Volney Bellamin, the commissioner of the government of Port-de-Paix, announced last Friday the dismantling of a gang network in the commune of Jean Rabel. During a joint operation carried out by specialized units of the national police, the tribunal de paix of Jean Rabel and the prosecution of Port-de-Paix, four people found their arrest, two firearms of 9 millimeter caliber and 3.80 as well as 10 cartridges were seized.
