Haiti – FLASH : The FAd’H would like to recruit up to 5,000 soldiers by the end of 2021
The Haut-Staff of the Armed Forces of Haiti (FAd’H) plans to recruit by the end of 2021 up to 5,000 soldiers if the budget for the fiscal year 2020-2021 allows it.
These new military staff in addition to the protection of the territory, will be partly deployed at the border with the Dominican Republic to fight against the contraband which makes lose in Haiti, millions of US dollars of customs revenue.
It should be noted that the recruitment of a Cadet class is currently underway in the South-East, North-East and Center departments and will continue.

The FAD’H currently have 440 men: 7 members of the High Staff https://www.haitilibre.com/en/news-23941-haiti-politic-official-ceremony-of-installation-of-the-general-staff-of-the-army.html , 15 officers, 50 non-commissioned officers, 248 soldiers graduated from the Anacaona military base and 120 members of the engineering corps trained in Ecuador.

High General Staff :
The High Staff is made up of Lieutenant General and Interim Commander-in-Chief, Jodel Lesage and 6 members:
Brigadier General Sadrac Saintil, Chief of the General Staff;
Colonel Jonas Jean, Inspector General;
Colonel Jean-Robert Gabriel, Assistant Chief of Staff G1 / G3;
Colonel Derby Guerrier, Assistant Chief of Staff G2 / G4;
Colonel Joseph Jacques Thomas, Secretary;
Colonel Fontane Beaubien, member of the personal staff of the Commander-in-Chief, the High Staff will coordinate the actions of the FAd’H so that the institution can fully play its role of guaranteeing the security and integrity of the territory national.
